Job summary

Boston Government Services, LLC. (BGS) seeks an Electrical Engineer to support our clients in Hanford, WA and Paducah, KY. The role focuses on low-voltage power distribution, MCCs, and building electrical systems for existing facilities and new construction.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering with at least five years of experience, U.S. citizenship, and ability to obtain DOE Q security clearance. Remote work is supported with a standard M-F schedule.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering (industrial power background), with at least five years of experience.
• U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
• Successful drug screening.
• Eligible for a DOE Q security clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and document electrical designs for industrial low-voltage power distribution and facility electrical systems (480 V and below).
• Perform load calculations, conductor sizing, voltage-drop, short-circuit analysis, protective-device coordination and arc-flash studies as required.
• Prepare design documentation, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, grounding plans, and installation details.
• Conduct field visits to verify configurations and coordinate with subject matter experts.
• Perform design recovery to reflect field conditions and update drawings accordingly.
