Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a skilled electrical automation professional to join the Electric Power Division, focusing on the design, development, and implementation of generator control switchgear systems. You will deliver automation solutions for complex power systems, independently and with teams, from concept through commissioning.

You will retrofit and deploy new projects, align with dealers and factories, and develop PLC/HMI applications while supporting CAD wiring diagrams and field services.

Responsibilities

• Identify retrofit opportunities with dealers and factory teams.
• Design, program, test, and commission LV/MV generator paralleling systems.

• Develop and modify PLC and HMI applications using templates.
• Collaborate with CAD to produce wiring and assembly drawings.
• Provide field/technical support and escalate as needed.
