Job summary

Cincinnatus LLC is seeking a senior Electrical Engineer for a 3–4 month, full-time engagement. This remote US role supports an AI lab's GenAI team by guiding electrical engineering tasks, validating model outputs, and building robust reference solutions for circuits, power systems, and embedded hardware.

Strong industry background, hands-on circuit/board work, and experience with EE toolchains and standards are required. Remote work is supported with SF Bay Area preference.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on professional electrical engineering experience in industry (semiconductors, consumer electronics, power/utilities, aerospace/defense, automotive/EV, robotics, telecommunications, or medical devices).
• Ownership of real engineering work (designing/up circuits or boards, running simulations, specifying power systems, design reviews).
• Proficiency with SPICE/LTspice, Cadence, Altium, KiCad, MATLAB/Simulink, ETAP and familiarity with IEEE/NEC/IPC/UL standards.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus but not required.
• Hands-on use of large language models in professional work.

Responsibilities

• Guide research and engineering teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance in electrical engineering.
• Design tasks and write reference solutions for EE problems.
• Evaluate tasks and model outputs and provide clear technical feedback on errors and unsafe design choices.
• Develop rubrics to assess reasoning across analog/mixed-signal design, RF, PCB/board design, power distribution, signal processing, and controls.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training data accuracy.
