Job summary

Fundrise is seeking an electrical engineer for field deployment of modular compute nodes across properties in the United States. You will assess power, fiber access, and permitting conditions, coordinating with utility, contractors, and engineering teams to deliver safe, reliable installations.

The role is remote-first, with frequent travel to sites nationwide. Ideal candidates have 4–8 years in electrical engineering or related fields and strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer license (PE) or EIT is preferred but not required.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, and construction documents.
• Experience with medium- and low-voltage distribution, switchgear, transformers, or UPS/BESS.
• Experience coordinating with utility, electrical contractors, and project teams in the field.

Responsibilities

• Visit properties to assess electrical readiness for modular compute deployments.
• Review one-line diagrams and equipment ratings for suitability.
• Identify required utility upgrades, scope, and permitting requirements.
• Manage electrical design, contractor bids, equipment submittals, construction, testing, and turnover.
• Coordinate with network providers for fiber routes and entry points.
