Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Commissioning Engineer with a strong electrical background to support commissioning of modular data centers. You will ensure electrical and mechanical systems are installed, tested, and commissioned to meet reliability standards for mission-critical infrastructure from factory acceptance to site handover.

The role requires 70% travel and remote work; international travel for training and deployment is available.

Qualifications

Required University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in reviewing and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Electrical background with 5–6 years of experience.
Experience with HVAC.
Preferred data center knowledge.
Client-facing experience and ability to lead meetings and technical discussions.

Responsibilities

Execute and manage commissioning activities for modular data centers from factory acceptance testing through to site acceptance testing.
Conduct functional testing of electrical systems and BMS integration.
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, vendors, and client stakeholders to align schedules and milestones.
Ensure all health, safety, and environmental requirements are met throughout the commissioning process.
Available for international travel for comprehensive training on assets and deployment support.
