Job summary

Siemens is seeking an Electrical Codes and Standards Professional to act as a liaison between Siemens Industry Electrical Products and authorities having jurisdiction across the United States. The role requires deep expertise in NFPA, UL, CSA and related standards, with responsibility for strategic and tactical code work, training, and interdepartmental guidance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as an Authority Having Jurisdiction in the electrical industry.
• 5+ years’ experience as a licensed electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial markets.
• Familiarity with NFPA, UL, CSA, and other Standards Development Organization standards.
• Strong presentation skills across diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of Siemens Electrical Products Business Unit: codes, applications, standards, product functionality.

Responsibilities

• Tactical Code and Standard work: conduct training on NFPA 70, 70B, 70E and other codes with electrical inspectors; provide feedback from trainings; assist with internal presentations about upcoming changes.
• Strategic Code and Standard work: identify important codes/standards for SI EP; analyze sections of NFPA 70, 70B, 70E, 7099; monitor trends; develop and present proposals and substantiation for codes and standards submissions; craft strategic responses.
• Technical Support: provide code reference and interpretation to Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Sales; guide present and future code requirements; identify updates for EP products; contribute to company white papers.
• Standardization work: identify changes to standards; help bridge gaps between product safety standards and installation codes.
