Job summary

Leidos LLC is seeking Distribution Engineers in Southern Louisiana who design and support electric utility projects. You will work with clients to ensure high-quality deliverables and develop work packages for OH, UG, URD, and other utility projects, with some field data collection and travel within the Louisiana territory.

The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience and a BS in an ABET-accredited engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Proficiency with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
• Knowledge of structural analysis, guying calcs, cable pulling calcs, coordination of protective devices, and electric demand calculations.
• Own reliable transportation for travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform design engineering for Leidos electric utility customers.
• Develop work packages for OH, UG, URD, Make Ready, and Street Light projects.
• Coordinate with engineers and design leads on client issues.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget of assigned work.
• Review engineering design packages with clients.
• Coordinate field data collection and site visits as needed.
