The University of Illinois System seeks a Visiting Educational Program Development Specialist in the College of Education, Dept of Special Education to lead the development and dissemination of high-quality online and in-person professional development for professionals working with military families with children.

The role requires collaboration with MCCY team members, graduate students, faculty, OneOp administrative staff, and DoW experts to enhance MCCY, OneOp, and related projects, and to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in special education, education, communication, or related areas.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with web-based and/or in person professional development programming; supervisory and project management; and/or customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize new online educational programming and other innovative programs; identify, recruit, coordinate, and support presenters; connect with stakeholders; facilitate development and delivery of programming.
• Coordinate program schedules, presenters, production timelines, logistics, deliverables, and dissemination activities for virtual professional development programming.
• Develop strategies for program marketing and execution and securing continuing education credits relevant to professionals in the target audience.
• Support digital engagement strategies, including social media and online platforms.
• Advise MCCY PI and OneOp leadership about innovative online educational platforms and modalities.
• Understand strategic, operational, and technical needs for OneOp online programming and guide the development of materials to support users.
• Maintain knowledge in emerging educational issues and advise on strategic opportunities.
• Represent the project at consortia meetings and collaborate with other funded projects.
• Coordinate the development and revision of manuscripts for publication and publish web-based resources.
