Job summary

Teachers’ Curriculum Institute (TCI) is seeking an Editorial Associate for a temporary, anticipated Oct 2026 – Jun 2027 remote role. You will write, edit, and modify lesson content to meet teacher and student needs, with a focus on social studies or science content aligned to state standards.

You will research assets, edit video scripts, and ensure materials are accessible and scoreable across programs, while meeting deadlines and collaborating with teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Available to work 35–40 hours per week during standard business hours.
• At least three years of editorial experience.
• At least three years of K–12 curriculum experience, focusing on social studies or science.
• Experience aligning content to state standards.
• Experience with fact-checking and identifying primary/secondary sources.
• Experience with educational video content.
• Ability to meet deadlines while working independently.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Updated personal laptop/computer (≤5 years old) able to run TCI systems (Windows or macOS).

Responsibilities

• Create new content to meet customer needs as assigned.
• Research content and source assets for lessons.
• Support repurposing of existing content for reuse in other programs and content areas.
• Identify coverage in TCI programs to meet standards and fill correlation gaps.
• Review and edit video scripts.
• Review produced videos to ensure adherence to scripts and text.
• Review and edit questions and interactions in lessons.
• Adhere to TCI’s style guidelines and project parameters.
• Ensure content is grade-level friendly and accessible to students.
