Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks an Edifecs Application Engineer to administer and optimize the Edifecs platform for reliable EDI processing. This role requires hands-on experience with XEServer, XEngine, TPM, and SpecBuilder in a cloud environment, primarily remote.

Strong AWS expertise, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of EDI workflows are essential to collaborate with analysts, DevSecOps, and business teams across the VA department.

Qualifications

• Experience with EDIFECS architecture and EDI processing.
• Strong AWS cloud experience and cloud architecture knowledge.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Hands-on understanding of Edifecs XEServer, XEngine, TPM, and EDI Gateway implementations.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, troubleshoot, and enhance the Edifecs platform and EDI processing.
• Configure and maintain XEServer, XEngine, TPM, SpecBuilder, and related modules.
• Build, deploy, and optimize Edifecs processing rules, routing, and batch workflows.
• Analyze and resolve mapping issues, validation failures, and performance bottlenecks.
• Manage system logging, JVM tuning, and certificate/keystore configurations.
• Support release deployments, environment refreshes, patching, and upgrades.
• Collaborate with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps, Cloud teams, and business teams.
