Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks an Edifecs Application Engineer to administer and optimize the Edifecs platform in a remote, U.S.-based capacity. You will configure XEServer, XEngine, TPM, SpecBuilder, and related modules, build Edifecs processing rules, and support deployments across AWS.

A Public Trust (MBI) clearance or the ability to obtain one is required; veterans are encouraged to apply. Strong collaboration with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps, and cloud teams is essential to ensure reliable

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of EDIFECS architecture and transaction lifecycles.
• Experience with AWS cloud environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Hands-on understanding of EDIFECS components: XEServer, XEngine, TPM, SpecBuilder.
• Experience with EDI integration and interface management incl. AS2/SFTP/FTPS/HTTPS.
• Experience with EDIFECS troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, troubleshoot, and enhance the Edifecs platform, ensuring reliable and compliant EDI transaction processing
• Configure and maintain XEServer, XEngine, TPM, SpecBuilder, and related modules
• Build, deploy, and optimize Edifecs processing rules, routing logic, and batch workflows
• Analyze and resolve mapping issues, validation failures, and performance bottlenecks
• Manage system logging, JVM tuning, and certificate/keystore configurations
• Support release deployments, environment refreshes, patching, and upgrades
• Collaborate with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps Engineers, Cloud teams, and business teams
