Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Edifecs EDI Analyst Transaction Specialist for a fully remote role supporting the Veterans Affairs department. This position requires 8+ years in Edifecs EDI, X12 transactions, AWS, and SQL, with US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

It’s a W-2, full-time opportunity focused on data validation, mapping, and governance across AS2, SFTP, and HTTPS flows.

Qualifications

8+ years of Edifecs product experience in EDI, healthcare, or enterprise operations.
Strong understanding of payer/provider workflows and X12 standards.
Experience with Edifecs logs, validation results, and routing rules.
Ability to interpret SNIP validations, companion guides, and error analysis.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

Own EDI workflows, partner requirements, and data validation rules.
Ensure accurate transaction processing and support business operations.
Interpret and troubleshoot 270/271, 276/277, 278, 820, 834, 835, 837, 999/277CA.
Analyze SNIP compliance, companion guides, and validation rules.
Document mappings and integration changes for new partners.
Collaborate with stakeholders for issue resolution and impact assessments.
Support audits, data quality guardrails, and SOP updates.
Work with AS2, SFTP, and HTTPS flows and verify EDIFECs routes.
Query SQL for transaction details and reconcile EDI with stored data.
