Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking an Edifecs EDI Analyst Transaction Specialist for a fully remote role supporting VA operations. The position requires 8+ years in Edifecs EDI, X12, and SNIP validations, with Public Trust (MBI) clearance.

As part of the team, you will own EDI workflows, validate partner data, troubleshoot 270/271, 820, 834, 835, and other transactions, and collaborate with AWS and DevSecOps teams to ensure secure, compliant data exchange.

Qualifications

• Extensive Edifecs/X12 experience with SNIP validations (Levels 1-7).
• Ability to interpret loops, segments, and element-level errors.
• Experience with Edifecs logs, routes, profiles, and rulesets.
• Strong AWS cloud environment knowledge and security awareness.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own EDI workflows, partner requirements, and data validation rules.
• Interpret and troubleshoot 270/271, 276/277, 278, 820, 834, 835, 837, 999/277CA transactions.
• Document mapping and integration changes for new partners.
• Collaborate with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps, Cloud, and business teams.
• Validate data exchanged via AS2, SFTP, and HTTPS flows.
• Query SQL for transaction details and reconcile mismatches.
