Job summary

Fastly, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect - Delivery to join a diverse, highly skilled team. You will provide expert guidance to customers integrating Fastly into their stacks, design and build solutions, and mentor teams while advancing our edge cloud platform.

This remote role welcomes candidates in PST/MST time zones within the United States. You will onboard new customers, design solutions, train users, and work with Sales Engineers on PoCs, while serving as the SME for Fastly Delivery

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CDN and WAF technologies, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Expert knowledge of and web application implementation.
• Troubleshooting supporting protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, TLS).
• Basic coding knowledge, including having built projects in one of Go, JavaScript, or Rust.
• Experience with customer-facing technical consultant work.
• Experience with project management, including analyzing a project's requirements, designing and documenting a solution, and delivering that to successful completion.

Responsibilities

• Work with new customers to integrate Fastly into their systems during on-boarding.
• Design and build technical solutions on Fastly, using VCL / Go / Rust / Javascript.
• Provide existing customers guidance on additional features and performance tuning.
• Write and present training materials to customers and internal teams.
• Work with Sales Engineers to build Proof Of Concepts for prospective customers.
• Be the Subject Matter Expert on the Fastly Delivery and Compute platform.
