Job summary

MAP SSG is seeking a Corporate / ECVC Associate for fully remote work in the United States. You will advise venture-backed startups on day-to-day corporate matters and financings, with direct founder interaction and meaningful client responsibility.

Ideal candidates have 2–6 years of post-JD venture-capital experience and strong transactional training. JD and active bar membership are required; strong communication with founders and autonomy are valued.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years post-JD experience in emerging-company or venture-capital work.
• Experience with startup corporate matters and venture financings.
• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership.

Responsibilities

• Advise founders on corporate governance, board actions, and equity grants.
• Draft and review formation documents, SAFEs, convertible notes, and financing docs.
• Support Delaware and public benefit corporations through formation and growth.
• Develop ongoing client relationships with clear, practical guidance.
• Coordinate with attorneys and staff to address client needs; delegate appropriately.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve internal tools and workflows.
