Nationwide Economics seeks an Economics Specialist to support macroeconomic research and economic forecasting. The role emphasizes data-driven communication across the investment team, with exposure to senior economists and collaboration across Nationwide businesses.

You’ll use Python, Stata, EViews, and AI/ML tools to develop models, prepare analyses, and contribute to publications and podcasts. A strong background in economics and 3+ years’ experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, data science, or related field.
• 3+ years in economics, macroeconomic research, or related discipline.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with economic data and forecasts.
• Experience with Python, Stata, EViews, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze macroeconomic, industry, and financial-market data.
• Develop and maintain economic models, forecasts, charts, and tables.
• Use econometrics and programming to explain relationships and implications.
• Apply Python or AI/ML to improve analysis and workflows.
• Prepare concise written analyses for investment professionals and partners.
• Contribute to Nationwide Economics publications and podcasts.
• Collaborate with senior economists to validate findings and communicate views.
