Job summary

Ducks Unlimited is seeking an Easement Specialist for remote work to support NRCS easement programs across multiple states. The role focuses on ensuring land eligibility, developing preliminary restoration plans, and coordinating with NRCS and internal teams to advance acquisitions.

Candidates should hold a wildlife/environmental science degree (MS preferred), be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of traveling for meetings and trainings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in wildlife, environmental science, restoration ecology or related conservation field.
• MS preferred; strong academic background in conservation.
• Must have reliable high-speed internet for remote work and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expertise in NRCS ACEP, RCPP, and other easement program policies.
• Manage multi-state easement portfolios from application to completion.
• Analyze project timelines and identify actions for timely acquisition.
• Review land and landowner eligibility documentation for federal compliance.
• Review maps, restoration plans, and conservation plans to meet objectives.
• Collaborate with NRCS State Offices to resolve deficiencies.
• Prepare easement agreement packages per NRCS policy.
• Support Realty Specialists with preliminary title and access reviews.
• Verify restoration plans for Wetland Reserve Easements align with guidelines.
• Ensure accurate ranking and points in restoration plans and deeds.
