Job summary

Medical Mutual is seeking an experienced EAP Counselor to provide telephonic support, coaching, resource coordination, and case management for EAP members. You will work with HR managers, coordinate referrals, and document thoroughly to ensure seamless service delivery.

The role emphasizes clinical judgment, HIPAA compliance, and ongoing professional development within a reputable Ohio-based health insurer.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in behavioral health or equivalent education/experience in HR.
• 5 years of experience in EAP, clinical behavioral health, or HR roles.
• Active license in state of employment (if applicable).
• PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/ SCP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage Administrative Referrals and conduct telephonic triage.
• Provide coaching and training to Members based on needs assessment.
• Consult with HR and supervisory personnel on employee issues and policy.
• Document with a case management system and maintain HIPAA compliant records.
• Refer Members to service providers and other resources as appropriate.
• Make clinical determinations in line with risk policy and best interests.
