Job summary

Shoe Carnival, Inc. is seeking an Associate eCommerce Content Specialist to support online product content and drive sales. You will create clear, engaging, and SEO-friendly descriptions, publish content, and coordinate samples for listings.

This entry-level role reports to the eCommerce department at the South Corporate office in Fort Mill, with Fridays from home. Strong writing, Excel skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office and ability to create and maintain simple spreadsheets in Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task with shifting priorities.
• Strong follow up and follow through to ensure tasks are completed.
• Strong oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Creative writing experience with AI prompts (e.g., ChatGPT) preferred.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, systems, and processes.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
• Positive attitude with a sense of humor related to our brand.
• Ability to discern color accurately.

Responsibilities

• Create clear, engaging, and SEO-friendly product descriptions.
• Coordinate product samples to prepare items for online listing.
• Research product features and specifications from provided resources.
• Maintain accurate product categories for site navigation in collaboration with the eCommerce team.
• Perform routine audits and quality checks of product listings, including names, descriptions, pricing, and photography.
• Collaborate with merchandising, customer service, and vendors on content discrepancies and questions.
• Develop foundational product knowledge of current merchandise assortments.
