Job summary

Exol is seeking an experienced Start-Up Operations Manager to lead day-to-day execution for automated fulfillment sites during pre-launch, go-live, and stabilization. You will drive testing, launch playbooks, and oversee large teams to meet high-volume DTC requirements.

Ideal candidate has 8+ years in 3PL/DTC fulfillment, automation experience with AutoStore or similar systems, and strong KPI management. Travel up to 80% and remote work options available across the USA.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or engineering preferred.
8+ years in 3PL warehouse or distribution center operations for high-volume DTC/e-commerce.
Automation exposure with AutoStore or similar robotic goods-to-person systems.
Working knowledge of OSHA standards and safety protocols with vendors and employees.
Demonstrated ability to drive launch-critical KPIs (UPH, order accuracy, OEE, cost-per-unit).
Ability to respond quickly to operational constraints and implement real-time corrective actions.

Responsibilities

Operational Capability Testing: execute SAT and integrated testing with engineering to validate robotics and picking systems for DTC requirements.
DTC launch ownership: manage high-velocity workflows from receiving to shipping.
Playbook development: document lessons learned and standardize processes for future site replication.
Large-scale team leadership: oversee daily warehouse operations and guide hourly associates and frontline leaders.
System validation: monitor WMS/WES transactions and troubleshoot bottlenecks to ensure inventory accuracy.
Safety leadership: enforce OSHA compliance and conduct audits in a fast-moving startup.
Project management: manage launch priorities including labor planning and cross-functional coordination.
