Job summary

Drug Hunter Inc. is seeking a rigorous data curator to triage and curate drug discovery patents and other disclosures. You will interpret chemical structures and biological data to surface the most important insights for readers.

The role reports to a Scientific Director and is a full-time, fully remote position for candidates based in North America. A BS/MS in organic/medicinal chemistry or chemical biology with 0-3 years in data curation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Data curation experience, preferably in biotech/pharma
• Ability to interpret chemical structures and biological data
• Familiarity with major scientific databases and patent literature
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
• Comfort in a fast-paced startup environment
• Basic Python for data processing is a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research, curation, and interpretation of drug discovery data from literature and patents
• Maintain high levels of rigor and accuracy in data curation and database construction
• Interpret chemical structures and biological data
• Contribute to data research and curation across projects
• Stay familiar with the biopharmaceutical industry and R&D process
• Support the Scientific and Data teams with accuracy and collaboration
