Job summary

Enjoin is seeking a DRG Integrity Analyst (DIA) to serve as the first level of clinical and coding review for inpatient encounters. This PRN, remote role focuses on identifying DRG opportunities, risks, and documentation gaps to guide deeper analysis.

You will screen charts, assess diagnoses and sequences, and elevate opportunities for deeper review. Ideal candidates have strong DRG knowledge, CDI background, and proven ability to work remotely.

Qualifications

• Active credentials CCS, RHIT, RHIA, CCDS, or CDIP required.
• Minimum 7 years of acute inpatient hospital coding, auditing, and/or CDI experience in a large center.
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding guidelines and inpatient reimbursement methodologies.
• Experience with pre-bill DRG validation and clinical validation reviews.
• Experience with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, MEDITECH.
• Remote work experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Screen inpatient charts to identify DRG optimization opportunities and risks.
• Assess principal diagnosis, procedures, CC/MCCs, and sequencing.
• Identify documentation gaps and coding misalignment impacting DRG assignment.
• Triage validated opportunities to Clinical Coding Analysts for deeper review.
• Apply standardized DRG workflows to ensure consistency and productivity.
• Document screening decisions and rationale for downstream audits.
• Maintain high productivity and quality in a high-volume review environment.
• Collaborate with CCAs and leadership on best practices and workflow improvements.
• Identify trends and process gaps to support continuous improvement.
