Job summary

South College Pittsburgh Campus is seeking a Program Director for the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. This hybrid-remote role requires quarterly on-ground lab intensives in Cranberry Township, PA, with relocation not required but encouraged.

The position leads CAPTE accreditation activities, curriculum development, and faculty mentorship while coordinating program resources and strategic planning with the Dean of the School of Rehabilitation Sciences.

Qualifications

• Earned terminal academic doctorate in a discipline appropriate for teaching responsibilities.
• At least 6 years of full-time higher education experience, with a minimum of 3 years as core faculty in a CAPTE-accredited entry-level physical therapist education program.
• Senior faculty rank (Associate Professor or higher) with experience consistent with South College system for designated faculty rank.
• Understanding of higher education and contemporary clinical practice appropriate for leadership in physical therapy education.
• Knowledge of CAPTE accreditation standards and related regulatory requirements.
• Active in clinical practice and professional activities at local, state, and national levels.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain program accreditation with CAPTE and coordinate compliance with standards.
• Coordinate timely submission of fees and documentation to accreditation bodies.
• Notify accrediting bodies about substantive changes and accreditation status changes.
• Ensure accessibility of accreditation standards to faculty and set expectations for compliance.
• Develop and maintain a contemporary DPT curriculum meeting accreditation standards and program goals.
• Provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction for the DPT Program and collaboration with other DPT programs.
• Mentor faculty and staff with professional development plans in teaching, research, and service.
• Plan and manage the campus DPT budget and resources for academic and clinical education.
