Job summary

University of Rochester is seeking a Donor Manager to support organ procurement activities in a remote role based in New York. You will respond to donor referrals, coordinate ICU management, and oversee organ offers in line with UNOS/OPTN policies.

The ideal candidate holds a nursing or allied health degree with ICU or pre-hospital experience, ACLS/TNCC preferred, and is prepared to travel to donor hospitals when necessary. This role is full-time with rotating shifts and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Physician’s Assistant or Allied Healthcare Provider field with ICU experience.
• Critical care experience and ACLS/TNCC preferred.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to organ donor referrals from area hospitals and evaluate donors.
• Coordinate donor assessments, ICU management, and organ allocation per OPTN/UNOS.
• Arrange transportation for surgical teams and communicate with OR staff.
• Maintain iTransplant records and complete required documentation.
• Participate in clinical and staff meetings and other duties as assigned.
