Job summary

TriWest Healthcare Alliance is seeking a data entry professional to ensure accurate authorization data from customer information, medical records, and referral forms is correctly entered into the medical management system. The role may be performed in a virtual environment as needed.

Required are U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain a DoD background clearance, a high school diploma or GED, and 1+ year experience in healthcare operations with data entry or customer service.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Able to obtain favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• 1+ year experience in health care operations performing data entry or customer service
• Experience with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Assesses and enters authorization/referral data into the medical management system.
• Identifies discrepancies to ensure data quality and compliance.
• Meets department productivity and performance metrics.
• Adheres to HIPAA and TriWest confidentiality guidelines.
• Refers beneficiaries to network providers and resolves issues to complete care requests.
• Reads and understands diagnoses and requested services on incoming care requests.
• Collaborates with other departments to clarify documentation before processing.
• Processes referrals and authorizations in the online system.
