Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Network Architect to design, deploy, and optimize DoD network infrastructure, ensuring security, scalability, and reliability.

The role requires hands-on expertise in network design, routing and switching, and Zero Trust, with a focus on multi-vendor environments and modernization initiatives. Eligible candidates must hold a Secret clearance and a relevant degree; DoD experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years designing, deploying, and supporting network and security architectures within DoD hybrid environments.
  • 2+ years implementing and configuring network segmentation or micro segmentation, including SDN/SD-WAN and virtualization.
  • 2+ years documenting complex network and security architectures, including ZTNA implementations and BGP/NAT documentation.
  • 2+ years of experience with routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, LDP, STP, L3VPNs).
  • Secret clearance required.
  • HS diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Design enterprise-wide network architectures for DoD programs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues and security gaps.
  • Guide modernization efforts and optimize reliability, security, and availability of critical networks.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and project stakeholders to deliver solutions.
