Valkyrie Enterprises, Inc. in Huntsville, Alabama, seeks a Business Development Manager to drive growth of its DoD and government contracting efforts through technical leadership and customer insight.

You will build relationships with warfighters and program offices, translate operational needs into opportunities, and guide capture planning and proposals. This hands-on role requires travel and a demonstrated ability to communicate Valkyrie’s capabilities effectively.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, physics, math, or related STEM.
• Military officer or senior NCO or equivalent civil service experience.
• Understanding of how DoD identifies requirements, funds programs, and acquires capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical concepts.
• Willing to travel ~35% to client sites and events.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain relationships with government stakeholders, including warfighters, requirements owners, program offices, laboratories, and innovation organizations, to understand operational needs and emerging requirements.
• Translate operational challenges into clear problem statements and work with engineering leads to match customer needs to Valkyrie’s advanced engineering and prototyping capabilities.
• Identify, qualify, and track opportunities across OTAs, SBIR/STTR, Commercial Solutions Openings, prototype and technology-transition programs, and traditional contract vehicles.
• Support capture planning and proposal development, including white papers, solution briefs, technical volumes, pricing inputs, and customer presentations.
• Represent Valkyrie at customer meetings, industry days, demonstrations, test events, conferences, and other industry engagements.
• Maintain pipeline data, opportunity reviews, and customer engagement records within the company CRM and report progress to leadership.
• Coordinate with contracts, finance, and program management teams regarding teaming agreements, partner engagement, and transition of awards into execution.
• Develop a working knowledge of Valkyrie’s engineering and prototyping capabilities, facilities, and past performance and communicate them accurately and credibly to government customers and partners.
