Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, secure, and maintain enterprise infrastructure supporting DoD missions across cloud and on-prem environments.

The candidate will lead in Azure, M365, virtualization, and networking, ensuring highly available, scalable solutions while coordinating with cybersecurity teams for STIG compliance and DoD accreditation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of related experience with enterprise infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, document, and maintain enterprise infrastructure solutions.
• Manage highly available and secure enterprise IT systems supporting mission-critical operations.
• Install, configure, and maintain virtualization platforms, operating systems, applications, and supporting infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across compute, networking, storage, and applications and optimize performance.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure standards, architecture documentation, and SOPs.
• Coordinate environment changes through RFC processes.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to maintain accreditation packages and STIG compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive infrastructure best practices.
