Qualifications

• 1+ year of web development experience in a professional setting using Python (preferably Django).
• Clean HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills; Git is second nature.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and deploy web tools built with Django and Python for National Journal's members.
• Support the digital platform with data, tools, and news to help users understand and navigate elections.
• Maintain large datasets (PostgreSQL, MySQL, APIs) and integrate internal/third-party content.
• Contribute to Ada, the internal CMS, and create tools for other product teams; emphasize backend work.
• Stay informed on trends in software tools, frameworks, languages, AI coding assistants, and workflows.
