Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a seasoned Commercial/Strategic role focusing on maximizing profitable growth for solvents. You will execute pricing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and analyze metrics to guide decision-making for the product portfolio.

You will negotiate with suppliers, collaborate with regional teams, and drive cost-efficiency with the Supply Chain while keeping stakeholders informed with market updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years in commercial roles such as sales, marketing or product management.
• Solid understanding of the chemical distribution business model and solvents market.
• Proven ability to build relationships with external and internal teams.
• Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration mindset.
• Experience using SAP to review inventory, movements, pricing decisions.

Responsibilities

• Supports day-to-day execution of product management strategies (pricing, supplier share, etc.).
• Builds and maintains relationships with suppliers.
• Maintains and analyzes performance metrics relative to supplier commitments; advises PMMs.
• Conducts negotiations with suppliers within the portfolio.
• Tracks performance relative to supplier rebate programs and recommends actions.
• Partners with regional teams to collect market data for pricing and allocation decisions.
• Provides pricing guidance to local commercial teams.
• Executes cost-efficiency opportunities with Supply Chain.
• Provides product and market updates to the organization.
