Univar Solutions USA Inc is seeking a Strategic Supplier Manager to execute strategies maximizing profitable growth for the solvents portfolio. You will manage pricing, supplier relationships, and product allocation, while coordinating with regional teams to inform pricing decisions.

The role requires 5+ years in related commercial roles, a solid understanding of chemical distribution, and strong negotiation and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in commercial roles (sales/marketing/product).
• Solid understanding of chemical distribution and solvent market dynamics.

Primary Purpose:

Under the direction of Strategic Supplier Manager, executes strategies necessary to maximize profitable business growth for Univar within the solvents product portfolio. Manages key tactical processes to ensure that Univar delivers on commitments to customers and suppliers.

What You'll Do:

• Supports day-to-day execution of product management strategies: pricing, supplier share, etc.
• Builds and maintains relationships with suppliers.
• Maintains and analyzes performance metrics relative to supplier commitments and recommends actions in support of the Product Marketing Managers.
• Conducts negotiations with suppliers within product portfolio.
• Tracks performance relative to supplier rebate programs and recommends actions in support of the Product Marketing Managers.
• Partners with regional commercial teams to collate market data for product portfolio. Uses data for internal decision-making regarding pricing and product allocation as well as supplier relationship building.
• Provides guidance to local commercial teams regarding pricing.
• Executes on identified cost efficiency opportunities in collaboration with Supply Chain.
• Provides product and market updates to the organization.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in commercial roles such as sales, marketing, or product management.
• Solid understanding of the chemical distribution business model.
• Solid understanding of solvent market dynamics, supply-demand trends, and key drivers impacting pricing, availability, and customer demand.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships both externally and internally.

This is a home based role in Fresno, CA; Fairfield, CA; Redwood City, CA; Kent, WA; Portland, OR

Pay and Benefits:

• Salary range: $133,160 - $166,450 annually. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and geographic location.
