Job summary

A leading food distribution company is seeking a Sr. Manager of Distribution Automation to oversee comprehensive automation projects and initiatives. This role involves leading efforts to enhance operational efficiency through automation systems, ensuring project success, and managing significant capital investments. Candidates should have a strong background in distribution operations and proven leadership in project management. Remote options are available along with required travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in distribution operations including mechanization and/or automated environments.
• 3+ years of project management experience preferred.
• Experience creating process flows outlining associate/automation interaction.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for total life ownership for all automation and mechanization solutions.
• Create sustainable and repeatable automation solutions through documentation.
• Manage all aspects of project implementation to deliver on-time results.

Skills

Knowledge of supply chain and controls systems

Lean Six Sigma

Proficient computer skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong problem-solving skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain or related field
