Job summary

ICF Olson seeks an On-Call professional to support disaster and emergency management projects across the United States. You will coordinate with client counterparts, help subrecipients develop FEMA 404/406 proposals, and ensure clear, concise scope and budgets in line with FEMA guidelines.

You may travel by air or car for project work with short notice and may be assigned evenings or weekends. This role offers flexible, on-demand engagement across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with FEMA 406 and 404 mitigation policies.
• Ability to travel by air and car with short notice.
• Willing to deploy on evening, weekend, or multi-week assignments away from home.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop mitigation opportunities with client counterparts.
• Assist subrecipients writing 404/HMGP grant applications or 406 proposals.
• Ensure the scope of work is clearly defined.
• Develop quarterly reports and required documentation.
• Coordinate internal environmental reviews with ICF’s Environmental Team.
• Review grant applications for accuracy prior to FEMA submittal.
• Manage grant applications to align with project timelines.
• Conduct site visits of damaged facilities when requested.
• Present training to staff and stakeholders.
