Job summary

The Matlen Silver Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Disaster Recovery Consultant to strengthen enterprise DR capabilities. You will enhance application recovery planning, improve testing and validation, and bolster second-line oversight to ensure rapid recovery during disruptions.

This role requires collaboration across technology and business teams to deliver tangible improvements within defined timelines. This is a remote engagement (EST) with a 9–12 month duration.

Qualifications

• 9–10+ years in disaster recovery, IT resilience, or tech risk.
• Hands-on DR plan development and validation experience.
• Experience supporting DR testing (failover, tabletop, simulations).
• Strong understanding of RTOs, RPOs, data recovery, dependencies.
• Ability to collaborate across technology and infrastructure teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with tech, infra, and application teams to review and enhance DR plans.
• Validate recovery strategies, RTOs, RPOs, and failover capabilities.
• Identify gaps in recovery readiness, dependencies, and data integrity.
• Support DR testing design and execution, including simulations.
• Assess procedures and recommend practical improvements for DR readiness.
• Align DR plans with critical business services and priorities.
• Propose governance enhancements for second-line oversight.
