Job summary

Dane Street is seeking a Disability Claims QA to review long-term and short-term disability reports and ensure accuracy of medical records. You will collaborate with physician reviewers and client teams to address questions and meet deadlines.

The role requires 5+ years of claims experience, disability background, strong communication, and detail orientation. This is a full-time position in the United States with a comprehensive benefits package and performance-based bonuses.

Qualifications

• An Associate’s Degree or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of claims experience, preferred.
• Disability experience required.
• Must work with a sense of urgency and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Proficiency in navigating computer programs (Google Chrome, Gmail, Docs, Sheets) is a plus.
• Attention to detail REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Assess the quality of physician reports, ensuring they meet client and jurisdictional standards for LTD.
• Verify that the claims support the physicians determinations in LTD claims.
• Read and apply policy guidelines and healthcare terminology to determine when LTD criteria are met.
• Provide strong customer service by working with clients to deliver complete, timely QA for LTD cases.
• Manage complex LTD cases requiring additional review prior to returning to the client.
• Serve as an additional QA level for cases with quality issues, using clinical claims knowledge specific to LTD.
• Participate in other duties and special projects as assigned.
