Job summary

IGS Energy seeks a Director, Legislative & Regulatory Affairs to lead its renewable energy regulatory strategy, focusing on solar, DERs, and storage. You will shape advocacy, build relationships with regulators and policymakers, and drive policy positions across the company footprint.

You will partner with Solar Operations, Finance, Legal, and executive leadership to evaluate regulatory impacts, prepare testimony and comments, and ensure compliance with evolving rules.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Environmental Policy, Energy, Engineering, Business, Economics, or related field preferred.
  • JD or Master's degree in Public Policy, Energy, Environmental Policy, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years in public policy, legislative/regulatory affairs, or renewable energy advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead legislative and regulatory initiatives impacting IGS's renewable energy businesses, including solar and DERs.
  • Develop advocacy strategies before state utility commissions, legislatures, and regulatory agencies.
  • Build relationships with regulators, policymakers, utilities, and industry stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze policy developments; prepare regulatory comments and testimony.
  • Represent IGS before commissions and industry groups; influence policy on net metering and interconnection.
  • Collaborate with Solar Operations, Finance, Legal, and Leadership to assess regulatory impacts.
