Job summary

The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) seeks a Director of Reliability Assessments and Performance to lead strategic and technical work across Reliability Assessments, Performance Analysis, and Data & Analytics Integration.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, develop forward-looking reliability analyses, and publish major reports while serving as a senior technical spokesperson to regulators, industry and stakeholders. Remote work option with travel as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an advanced technical field.
At least 10 years of experience in bulk power system planning/operations or related reliability fields.
Strong understanding of reliability assessments, resource adequacy, and planning practices.
Proven ability to lead complex, high-visibility technical assessments and communicate with executives.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for Reliability Assessments, Performance Analysis, and Data & Analytics Integration.
Lead independent assessments of current and future bulk power system reliability and resource adequacy.
Direct development of major reliability publications and governance of analytical products.
Oversee data governance, quality, and authoritative data sources across NERC.
Coordinate with Regional Entities and external stakeholders to advance reliability analysis.
