Job summary

WellSense Health Plan, a Massachusetts-based nonprofit health insurer, seeks a Director of Public Partnerships to lead Medicaid program contract management and governance with EOHHS. The role guides cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and optimal program performance within the Health System.

The position requires 10+ years in healthcare or government programs, 5+ years in a director role, and strong leadership and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Healthcare, Health Insurance, Government Programs, or related field.
• 5+ years at Director level or equivalent.
• 5+ years managing external stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Serves as key contact with EOHHS on contract management, deliverables, program matters, requests and escalations.
• Leads analysis and implementation of new Medicaid program contracts and amendments; oversees program requirements.
• Oversees ongoing contract deliverables and end-to-end program requirements of the Medicaid program.
• Collaborates with multiple departments to translate regulatory and operational needs into actionable plans.
• Manages complex program procurements and regular program audits.
• Oversees Medicaid program reporting and compliance activities across departments.
• Leads and develops the Massachusetts Public Partnerships team.
• Represents the Health Plan in meetings and negotiations with EOHHS.
