Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks a Director of Post-Award Research Administration in Moody College of Communication. Based in the Moody College Research Office, you will oversee post-award operations for sponsored projects, ensuring compliance and timely reporting across the lifecycle.

You will collaborate with the Office of Sponsored Projects, investigators, and campus staff to guide expenditures, subawards, and personnel costs, while leading key financial tracking and reporting efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years in post-award research administration, grants and contracts management, or related financial administration.
• Strong knowledge of federal and sponsor post-award regulations and reporting requirements.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and financial reporting tools (Excel) and familiarity with university systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for post-award operations across the award lifecycle.
• Supervise the Grants and Finance Coordinator and guide complex issues.
• Manage account transactions, rebudgets, budget transfers, contracts, subawards, and closeouts.
• Serve as primary post-award liaison to investigators, sponsors, OSP, and campus partners.
• Develop and maintain tracking tools for post-award administration.
