Job summary

Bausch + Lomb is seeking a Director of Surgical Clinical Development to lead global clinical strategies for ophthalmic surgical devices, including IOLs, inserters, lasers, and phacoemulsification systems. You will drive clinical evidence generation to support regulatory submissions and product launches across diverse markets.

The role requires an MD/OD/PhD or equivalent, 7+ years in medical device clinical development, and strong leadership and regulatory expertise.

Qualifications

• Requires advanced degree in clinical/biomedical science.
• 7+ years of industry experience in medical device clinical development.
• Proven track record leading global clinical strategy and submission success.
• Deep knowledge of GCP, ISO 14155, and global medical device regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead global clinical development strategy for surgical device programs from concept through post-market.
• Serve as clinical voice on regulatory submissions across FDA, EU MDR/CE Mark, NMPA, PMDA.
• Design and oversee pivotal and post-approval studies across markets.
• Develop regulatory and clinical documents including study protocols and clinical reports.
• Collaborate with R&D, Regulatory, Quality, and Commercial to translate insights into product development.
