ZincFive seeks a Director of System Strategy & Technology Planning to align market needs with our technology roadmap and program execution. This senior leader will drive system architecture, portfolio governance, and cross-functional collaboration across Product, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Service.

The role requires deep battery technology expertise, MBSE experience, and a proven ability to build and scale technical teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
15+ years in battery systems/energy storage or related tech.
8+ years leading multidisciplinary technical organizations.
Proven system-level product strategy and roadmap experience.
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
Deep knowledge of battery cells, BESS architecture and safety engineering.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain multi-generation technology roadmaps for battery systems hardware and software.
Identify capability gaps and technology investment priorities.
Translate customer requirements into system-level product requirements.
Lead TPMs to convert technology and strategy into new product development programs.
Drive cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Service.
