MapleCraft Engineers is seeking a Director of Procurement to lead and optimize our procurement operations. You will manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive efficiency across the supply chain for major engineering projects.

This is a high-impact leadership role requiring strategic thinking, strong negotiation skills, and expertise in supply chain management. The position offers full-time remote work with North America coverage and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of procurement experience in engineering/construction/industrial sectors.
• Proven expertise in procurement strategy, supplier management, contract negotiations, and cost optimization.
• Experience sourcing project equipment, heavy machinery, and engineering materials.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement function to secure best materials, equipment, and services with strong vendor relationships.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and objectives.
• Manage lifecycle from sourcing to contract negotiation and execution.
• Oversee purchasing for project equipment, materials, and subcontractor services with on-time delivery and cost control.
• Forecast material and equipment needs with project managers and finance teams.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to maximize value and service quality.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and ensure compliance with cost, quality, and delivery standards.
• Identify new suppliers and strategic partnerships to enhance procurement capabilities.
