Job summary

BarkleyOKRP is seeking a Director, Planning for a fully remote role in the United States. You will own client relationships and lead a media strategy team, directing tactical recommendations to align media placement with the message.

Expect close collaboration with MissionOne Media and BarkleyOKRP client experience teams to drive business impact. You will oversee day-to-day media planning, review work with VP input, and mentor the team while building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; 6+ years of media planning experience.
• Ability to think critically and apply a strategic approach to plans.
• Strong knowledge of traditional media channels with digital understanding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day media planning across the team and delegate workload for growth.
• Review and approve all team work, obtaining VP feedback as needed.
• Own key client list and lead communications across departments (Data/Analytics, CRM, Strategy, Creative, Finance).
• Act as strategic lead across clients, aligning media direction with objectives.
• Generate creative, ownable ideas for breakthrough audience moments beyond standard media opportunities.
• Lead and develop the team, balancing delegation with support.
• Lead team training on trending media topics, processes, and tools.
• Mentor team on deliverables, collaboration, and client experience.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure timely media implementation.
• Present at key client meetings and contribute to budget recommendations.
