Summary
GlobalSource IT is partnering with an established aerospace and defense manufacturer seeking a Director of Enterprise Applications to lead the strategy, operations, and transformation of its enterprise applications portfolio.
Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, this individual will play a key leadership role as the organization establishes independent IT capabilities following a corporate separation. The Director will have broad ownership of business-critical applications supporting finance, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and enterprise operations, with responsibility for shaping the technology roadmap, building an effective applications organization, and driving modernization initiatives.
This position requires a business-minded technology leader who can balance strategic planning with operational execution, manage complex vendor relationships and budgets, and partner effectively with executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings experience overseeing diverse enterprise applications, rather than focusing exclusively on a single ERP platform or implementation.

- Provide leadership across ERP, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), engineering applications, financial reporting, and related business systems.
- Partner with the CIO and senior leaders across Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program Management to align technology priorities with business objectives.
- Evaluate and lead opportunities for application consolidation, modernization, integration, and cloud migration.
- Establish application governance, operational standards, performance metrics, and continuous improvement practices.
ERP, Engineering & Manufacturing Systems
- Oversee a multi-ERP environment utilizing Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Deltek Costpoint, including support, optimization, integration, and long-term platform strategy.
- Provide strategic oversight of engineering and manufacturing applications, including Windchill, Teamcenter, DELMIA Velocity MES, and related systems.
- Ensure effective integration and data flow between ERP, PLM, MES, requirements management, and financial reporting platforms.
- Oversee supporting enterprise applications, including DOORS, Jira, Confluence, and other engineering and business systems.
- Collaborate with technical specialists and business stakeholders to ensure application solutions support operational efficiency, regulatory requirements, and business needs.
Transformation & Organizational Leadership
- Lead enterprise application initiatives associated with a corporate separation, including system migrations, transition planning, cutover activities, and establishing independent application support capabilities.
- Develop and execute transformation roadmaps while maintaining the stability and reliability of production systems.
- Build and lead a lean enterprise applications organization, leveraging internal resources, technical specialists, and external service providers.
- Establish scalable operating models, application support processes, and vendor partnerships to support long-term business needs.
- Identify opportunities to simplify the applications landscape, reduce duplication, and improve operational efficiency.
- Own enterprise applications budgeting, financial planning, resource allocation, and technology investment decisions.
- Select and manage systems integrators, managed application services (AMS) providers, and other technology partners.
- Establish vendor performance expectations, service-level agreements, and accountability for application delivery and support.
- Oversee application lifecycle management, testing, release management, access controls, and change management.
- Ensure enterprise applications support applicable regulatory, security, and government contracting requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise applications or IT leadership, including significant responsibility for enterprise business systems.
- Demonstrated ownership of a broad enterprise applications portfolio extending beyond a single ERP platform or implementation.
- Experience leading enterprise applications in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, industrial, or similarly complex operational environments.
- Strong ERP background, ideally including Oracle EBS, Deltek Costpoint, or comparable enterprise platforms.
- Experience overseeing applications supporting engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, or product lifecycle processes, including PLM and/or MES environments.
- Proven ability to develop technology strategy, manage application roadmaps, establish priorities, and align IT investments with business objectives.
- Experience managing departmental budgets, external vendors, systems integrators, and outsourced application support or managed services arrangements.
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop technical teams while balancing internal capabilities with external resources.

- Experience establishing or transforming an enterprise applications function, including organizational design, vendor selection, and operating model development.
- Background in aerospace, defense, government contracting, or regulated manufacturing.
- Familiarity with CMMC, ITAR, DFARS, or comparable regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with ERP consolidation, application portfolio rationalization, cloud transformation, and enterprise application modernization.
- Experience supporting engineering requirements management, manufacturing operations, and complex application integrations.
