Job summary

Florida Cooperative of Theological Schools is seeking a Director of Advancement to design, lead, and implement a comprehensive advancement program for a new faith‑based nonprofit serving Southeast Florida. You will build relationships with donors, foundations, and corporate partners, and guide a team to secure major gifts and a $5M endowment campaign.

The role requires proven success in fundraising, planned giving, and communications, with the ability to work remotely while coordinating monthly

Qualifications

• BA degree required.
• CFRE certification preferred.
• 5–7 years of fundraising experience.
• Proven success in comprehensive advancement programs.
• Analytical use of data to drive fundraising decisions.
• Experience in staff and Board collaboration.
• Strong computer skills incl. Office, CRM and wealth screening.

Responsibilities

• Manage major, endowment and planned gifts.
• Identify prospects and maintain a Moves Management plan.
• Establish planned gift programs with marketing.
• Conduct meetings with prospects and donors.
• Develop major gift donor programs.
• Work with Executive Director and Board to deepen relationships.
• Attend Board meetings and report progress to leadership.
• Serve as ambassador for FCTS and articulate its mission externally.
• Build and mentor the development team; oversee daily operations.
