Job summary

Tobii Dynavox is seeking a Regional Content Reviewer for Navajo (Diné bizaad) content. This fully remote role involves evaluating and culturally adapting AAC content for the Navajo language community, ensuring linguistic and cultural relevance.

The contractor will work 8 weeks with up to 50 hours total, including two weekly sessions with the AAC Content Developer, and must be a native Navajo speaker fluent in English.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
• Native Navajo speaker with substantial residence in the target region.
• Fluent written proficiency in Navajo and fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Edit and review AAC content for cultural accuracy, language use and regional relevance.
• Adapt phrasing, vocabulary, and content to reflect local usage norms and real-life communication needs.
• Provide expert review from the perspective of the target regional AAC community.
• Collaborate closely with an internal AAC Content Developer during the core project phase.
• Ensure alignment with the established evidence-based language approach.
• Deliver timely feedback and edits during weekly remote review cycles.
