Job summary

Tobii Dynavox is seeking a Regional AAC Content Reviewer for Traditional Chinese - Mandarin to evaluate, refine, and culturally adapt AAC content. The role is fully remote, contract-based, and involves collaboration with a development team across time zones.

You must have substantial AAC experience, native-level fluency in the target language, and strong English skills. The project includes up to 50 hours over 8 weeks with weekly sessions and self-managed scheduling.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
• AAC Specialist, or professional background in Speech-Language Pathology, Education, or Occupational Therapy.
• Native speaker of the target language with substantial residence in the target region.
• Fluent written proficiency in the target language and English.
• Reliable communication via email; responsive to deadlines.
• Preferred: academic or applied linguistics background.

Responsibilities

• Edit and review AAC content for cultural accuracy, language/grammar use and regional relevance.
• Adapt phrasing, vocabulary, and content to reflect local usage norms and real-life communication needs.
• Provide expert review and insights from the perspective of the target regional AAC community.
• Collaborate closely with an internal AAC Content Developer during the core project phase.
• Ensure alignment with the established evidence-based language approach.
• Deliver timely feedback and edits during weekly remote review cycles.
