Job summary

Darkhive is seeking a Digital Strategist to lead development and execution of digital marketing, paid search, and brand strategies for government engagements. The role focuses on shaping messaging for government stakeholders, prime contractors, and technical talent.

This is a high-impact, hands-on position requiring strategic thinking, coordination with the VP of Communications and Strategy, and collaboration with the in-house Graphic Designer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in digital strategy or integrated marketing communications, including senior/lead experience
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
• Strong understanding of defense/government contracting or B2G marketing dynamics
• Proven ability to build and execute multi-channel digital strategies with measurable outcomes
• Experience with marketing analytics platforms and reporting to executives
• Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of translating technical concepts for varied audiences
• Strong writing and content strategy skills with asset management

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's overarching digital strategy across web, social, content, SEO/SEM, email, and other channels
• Collaborate with leadership to align digital messaging with proposals, programs, and campaigns
• Lead website and content strategy, ensuring materials are ready for public release
• Design and manage multi-channel campaigns to support government-focused goals
• Shape digital brand positioning and messaging for diverse audiences
• Monitor analytics and ROI, report to executives, and optimize content accordingly
• Oversee SEO, paid media, and marketing automation efforts
• Guide social media strategy and audience growth
• Support trade shows and industry events with digital promotion and follow-up
• Ensure public-facing content complies with security and public affairs guidelines
• Manage relationships with external agencies/vendors
