Job summary

Abdul for US Senate is hiring a Digital Organizer for the 2026 cycle in Detroit or Ann Arbor, MI, with flexible remote options. This full-time role supports online voter engagement, recruits and trains volunteers, and coordinates with field and communications teams to align digital and on-the-ground efforts.

The position requires experience in campaigns or online community management, proficiency with social media, Canva, and CRM tools, and a commitment to the campaign’s mission.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 political cycles of volunteer or paid work in campaigns, digital organizing, or online community management.
• Proficiency with social media platforms, texting tools, and CRM management software.
• Basic graphic design skills with Canva or similar tools.
• Willingness to work irregular hours including nights/weekends.
• Superior written and verbal communication across diverse communities.
• Must have transportation to attend events statewide as needed.
• Proficiency with Excel and Google Drive.
• Ability to balance priorities in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Commitment to elect Abdul El-Sayed to the U.S. Senate.
• Ability to demonstrate multicultural competence and cross-cultural awareness.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, and manage volunteers through digital channels and online organizing tools.
• Support relational organizing and peer-to-peer texting programs.
• Create and manage content for organizing-focused social media and volunteer communities.
• Track and analyze digital organizing metrics to inform strategy and improve performance.
• Coordinate with field, digital, and communications teams to align online organizing with voter contact programs.
• Support online events, trainings, and volunteer mobilization pushes.
• Monitor online spaces and respond to volunteer questions in real time.
• Other campaign needs as required.
