Job summary

Macmillan Learning, a division of Holtzbrinck Publishing Group, is seeking an Operations specialist to manage daily package work orders, inventory issues, and digital access code workflows for print and digital courseware.

You will troubleshoot digital product issues across Salesforce, CMS, Klopotek, and Hybris, and collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and vendor partners. This role prefers Austin, TX-based candidates and supports a flexible remote arrangement.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in business, operations, information systems, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in operations, digital asset management, customer support operations, publishing, or logistics.
• Comfort working across multiple digital systems and platforms (e.g., JIRA, Salesforce).
• Sharp attention to detail handling metadata, inventory records, and catalog audits.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily package work orders and coordinate with Customer Service, Senior Inventory Manager, and Sales Representatives to resolve out-of-stock situations.
• Work with sales reps on backorders and cancelled orders, including releasing, cancelling, or substituting pack-on-demand orders.
• Keep access code requests moving through the JIRA queue and balance workload between approvers and code generators.
• Troubleshoot digital product issues across systems (Salesforce, CMS, Klopotek, Hybris) and help document new workflows.
• Run pricing and eBook availability audits twice a year and after annual price increases.
• Distribute agency eBooks and metadata to partners and fulfill courseware requests across third-party platforms.
